Winter Sunset

As mentioned on Wednesday, I was trying something new with this piece. I wanted to evoke an abstract representation of sunset on snow.

I did this by adding first acrylic white paint to my fabrics, and then rubbing oil pastels into the paint.

  7. Wonderful piece! Now you need to do one on the beach~I live in Florida, so no snow.

  9. Of course I love it! But the thing that I really appreciated was the risk you took adding the big orange ball. The trees totally knocked it back while still keeping the "milder" impact of the wonderful orangey sun. Just lovely my friend!
