The sky's the limit...

Check out those clouds! I'm pretty pleased with them!

After my last painted piece (that mermaid), I realized that I needed painting lessons  - I believe I might have talked about it and some of you advised against it ;) - I *still* think I need painting lessons but haven't had time - so instead, I scoured You Tube for "how to" videos, found one on cloud painting (I believe it was one of  BobDavies88 's videos - if you're interested in painting you should check him out, he's awesome, and free!), followed the instructions and et voila!

Things are going well so far! Come back on Friday to see if it continues in this manner...

That sky is looking pretty awesome! I too think I need to learn some more general art techniques. Thinking about Art classes - somewhat inspired by Annabel Rainbow who mixes paint and textile with stunning effect.

Are you using a general acrylic paint of fabric paint?

  8. I love Youtube! I thought of you yesterday when I saw "gesso" at our local store. I'm still not exactly sure what it is, but I now know it's a liquid paint LOL! I'll have to go on Youtube too. Ironically, I have an aunt who is an incredible painter, but she lives thousands of miles away :(.

  9. Looking Good. Can't wait for the buildings. I use youtube a lot and it is much cheaper than a class or book.

  13. I would still advise against lessons. They make you tight. I say just keep on doing what you are doing but keep doing - making. You are amazing.

  14. I don't think everyone reacts to classes the same way. Some people might find their creativity stifled but I'm pretty sure, that if they keep at it, that would lessen over time. Other people would find that lessons add to their skill set.
