Playing with paint...

I was working on something I'm going to show you sometime this month, and had some leftover paint, so I decided to paint some fabric with it.

I really like this one! (approximately 30 x 30, silk twill.) And then I did this one:

Which has a sort of moody, stormy feeling. (Also about 30 x 30, silk twill.) I'm pretty chuffed, considering they're just leftover paint that I didn't want to waste. I don't know what I'll use them for yet, but I'm sure they'll be put to good use.

Have a great weekend  - let us all know what you're up to in the comments if you like - and I'll see you on Monday!

  3. Hi Kit - as always you are so busy - I don't know how you manage it. I have visions of you with super charged personal energy.

I love painted fabric. Try applying paint with a brayer. You get a great effect. And if you lay the fabric over something textured and then roll the brayer across it you get very interesting effects on the fabric.

It's freezing cold here. After a very mild start to the Winter Europe is now experiencing a very cold snap - in parts of East Europe it's terrible and people have died. In the UK its cold, but not so extreme.

But hey - spring is just around the corner.

So keep up the inspirational work.
