on my sewing table right now...

This is just a little something I've been playing with on my kitchen table.  "Kitchen table" you ask?  Why yes! Haven't I mentioned that my sewing room currently looks like THIS:

the walls are primed...

that closet door is now primed too...

sadly, there's nothing I can do to make that window bigger...

and we're laying the floor this weekend.  AND THEN, paint, furniture goes back in, fabric goes back in - I'm hoping that shortly after Christmas, I'll be back in business!

Over the last few months I've been thinking about what direction I want to go in in 2012, and when I looked at my completely empty room, it really felt like a great way to make a fresh beginning. It gives me an unexpected sense of excitement!

And lots of creative days to you as well!

  5. very nice, on both counts! I sewed on my dining room table for the last 2 years, but just moved it all into our bedroom.

  6. I've been there with the studio. Believe me it gets better. The piece on the table has an oriental flair, and I live the eastern feel of it.

Oh how I recognize that look!!! My sewing room was just this week completed! From the bare floor to the too small window, I have been there. BTW, to disguise the too small window I made a window quilt that covers it up (read: keeps the cold out) and looks more proportional. However, from the looks of your work I am certain that if you did this yours would be spectacular! Good luck with your redo. I hope it goes quickly and without and hitches! :D ~ Lynda
