The holidays just throw things off, don't they?

So, instead of doing a Wednesday WIP, I'm showing you a stocking I made for BSP the night before last.

Excuse the bits of snow on it - but it does make it seem somehnow more authentic, yes?  :)

As I was auditioning fabrics for BSP for a stocking (ALL of which were vetoed) BSP asked "Don't you have anything Christmasy?" I didn't think so, but as it turned out, I did!  As soon as I pulled it, I knew that I had to use some of my brown fur and little bits of Italian gold scraps.

I quilted it overall in my standby for small project - honeycomb quilting, and then I hand beaded it with green glass beads.

And I even free motion quilted some little trees on the ankle band!

The pattern is from Lizzy House quilts .  Join in the fun!

  2. Thanks Frauke. :) The snow here is endless... my sister-in-law has gotten 154 cm since Saturday!!! We're planning to go to her home for our family Christmas this year, but I told her it'll take us until spring to dig her out. *hee*

I dropped the stocking and thought I got all the snow, but missed some which I didn't notice until I posted. Oh well...

  3. We're waiting for the "big snow" to start today ... it's a bit unusual for this area, but hey, we might even have White Christmas !!

  4. The funny thing is, even though the "snow belt" area as it's called in our Province gets whacked with a tonne of snow every year; the area that I live in hardly gets any. We did get some snow over the last couple of days, but usually if it snows here, it melts within a couple of days. So we haven't had a white Christmas in a few years!

Here's hoping we both get a white Christmas. :)
