Re-visiting the Crazy Drunk Tote

I don't have anything exciting to post today - I had a lazy day yesterday and played golf today, so though I pinned and basted Midas Touch, when we got back, I haven't actually started quilting it.

So I thought I'd show you another version of my "Crazy Drunk" tote that I made a while back - this one was for me - and it shows - I wasn't as careful with its construction as I have been with my others, and it's uneven at the bottom!

It doesn't matter though, I've been using it frequently, been getting tonnes of compliments on it and, since it's a bigger version than my prior crazy drunk tote - it's my Mary Poppins bag  - shoes, umbrella, daytimer, cardi (in case it get's cold), book and/or magazine, lunch, it all fits comfortably in there - sadly though, my umbrella doesn't give me the ability to fly.

On the other, hand, I've solved the issue of purses getting smaller again - use a bigger tote!  :)

I also made another one, using scraps - this one for other people:

I really like this one - and think I'll be making more of them!

Perhaps in a slightly smaller size - not everyone likes a Mary Poppins bag!

Hope you have a great Monday.  See you Wednesday!

  2. Don't you just love those lovely little pieces of fabric. When added to white, they look so fresh and modern. Love the bags.

  3. Great tote! I love giant bags... too bad my shoulders don't always agree. Yours is just as sweet as a spoonful of sugar!
